Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-12. This policy explains what TicketSimplified (ticketsimplified.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

TicketSimplified is an independent information site — not a law firm, not a court, and not a payment processor.

The decision tool on our pages runs in your browser and has no free-text fields at all. We never ask for your citation number, your name, your address, or any other detail about your case. We do record which options people select in the tool — anonymously and in aggregate — so that we can see which cities and which questions need work.

1. What we collect

We do not send usage data to any third party and our pages carry no advertising technology. We do run a small first-party script of our own: it records the four events listed below and sends them to a private database that we operate, so we can see which city pages and which questions are actually useful. That script sets no cookies and makes no third-party requests. It uses a random ID kept in session storage, which is discarded when you close the tab. It never receives your citation number, your name, your email address, or anything you type on this site.

The events we record

Every event also carries the city and state of the page it happened on, and a random visitor ID kept in session storage so that the clicks within one visit can be understood as one visit. It never carries your name, your email, your citation number, or anything you type.

If you use an advertising blocker or an opt-out tool, the site still works normally.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser type) for security and reliability. These logs are used for abuse prevention and are not used to build a profile of you.

2. Advertising

We show advertising to keep this site free. If advertising is active on a page:

Advertising status on this site: not enabled (advertising is enabled only when a publisher account is configured).

3. Links to official sources

Our pages link to court and government websites so you can confirm details for yourself. Once you click through, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or the data practices of those sites.

4. Your choices

5. Children

This site is intended for adults dealing with a traffic citation. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

6. Not legal advice

Everything on TicketSimplified is general information about how tickets are commonly handled. It is not legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Rules, fines and deadlines change — always confirm the details with the court named on your citation.

7. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Questions or requests: privacy@ticketsimplified.com.
