Open data: US traffic ticket courts and payment portals

Every fact behind the city and state guides on this site is published as a free, machine-readable dataset — so you can check it, reuse it, or build on top of it. It is released under CC0, which means no account, no sign-up and no attribution required.

What is in it

When you get a traffic ticket in the US, the hard part is not the fine — it is finding out which court or agency actually owns the citation and where its official payment or contest page lives. That mapping is what this dataset records, city by city.

Record typeRowsHolds
City54The court or agency named on the citation, its official payment portal, the fine note, traffic-school eligibility and where to take the course, what a conviction does to the driving record, typical lawyer cost, and the facts still unverified.
State21The point system, whether a course dismisses the case / withholds adjudication / only cuts points, the fine source, who handles tickets, the licensing agency, and FAQs.

Every link points at the court, clerk or state agency — never at a third-party "pay your ticket here" service. Each city record carries a verify list: the facts that could not be confirmed against an official source. That list is deliberate, not a bug — treat those items as open questions rather than checked facts.

Coverage: Arizona; California; Colorado; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Indiana; Massachusetts; Michigan; Minnesota; Missouri; North Carolina; Nevada; New York; Ohio; Oregon; Pennsylvania; Tennessee; Texas; Utah; Washington
